Does Santa Claus Exist? Let’s Find Out With Dexter!

Do you remember Dexter? The genius boy with a secret laboratory in his bedroom where he spends most of his time conducting science experiments and making inventions. He keeps his lab a secret from his parents and everyone else, but usually has trouble doing so. The only person who knows about his secret lab is his sister Dee Dee.

Dee Dee always gets into Dexter's lab and messes with all of his inventions and experiments. She is a ditzy ballerina girl and the older sister of Dexter. When she is not bothering Dexter in his secret laboratory, Dee Dee spends her time playing games in her room and doing all things frilly and girly.

Now I would like to ask you a nosy question, I hope you don’t mind. Do you believe in Santa Claus? Because Dexter was one boy who definitely did not believe in his existence, until one day. The little inventor wanted to prove his sister wrong, so he needed proof that Santa Claus does not exist.

Dexter set up a monitoring system on their roof and surveilled attentively until a man in red showed up. The mysterious man entered the living room and Dexter wanted to take a picture to prove that it was just his Dad in a Santa costume, but Santa Claus resisted.

Dexter convinced that the man in red is just his father fooling around, decided that more drastic measures were needed, so he chased Santa Claus from the bedroom to the rooftop, broke the horns of Santa’s reindeer thinking it was his Mom in a costume and shot down Santa, wrecking the whole living room in the process.

The last thing Dexter needed was to shave Santa Claus and see who was hiding beneath that huge, white beard, so he began. In the midst of shaving, Dad shows up, demanding to know what Dexter did. Upon hearing this, Dexter nervously realizes that his theory was wrong, but it's already too late.

His family scold him for ruining the holiday and attacking Santa Claus with his father asking what he has to say for himself. Feeling guilty because of his pride, Dexter can only apologize for ruining the holiday and tries to cheer them up by sitting there all together, which is what Christmas is all about. However Dee Dee tells him that’s not what the holiday is about to his confusion. Santa then clarifies it’s the presents that people are excited about.

We could all learn something from this episode of Dexter’s Laboratory. To never doubt Santa Claus, otherwise we could end up spending Christmas Eve without presents (or without a roof above our heads).

I know you miss Dexter, so you can watch this holiday episode below:

Keep on believing and may you all have a Merry Christmas!
