If there is one thing that can help us to feel young and carefree, it would have to be cartoons.
Aside from our parents, cartoons practically raised us. They knew how to cheer us up when we were sad, they knew how to entertain us, they knew how to bring us and indulge us into this new crazy, fantasy world. This is why cartoons are so memorable, and I am truly grateful to have them in my life, old or new.
Everyone's first favorite is obviously Tom and Jerry, maybe cause it's the first cartoon we watched. It brings back good memories.
I remember drinking my cup of milk in front of the TV and watching Tom and Jerry every single day after 6 o'clock on Cartoon Network.
I really miss it.
Even my cousin who is now 30 misses it.
I have probably watched every single episode of it at least twice.

For those who don't know.
Now really, is there anybody who didn't saw this iconic cartoon?

TOM AND JERRY cartoon is basically inspired by the real-life cat-and-mouse game. In this cartoon, the pair chases, outsmarts, and tortures each other to the max. In each episode, Tom the cat attempts to outsmart Jerry the mouse, although in most cases, no sorry actually in every episode Jerry ends up turning the tables on his foe.
Which I think was the biggest frustration of my childhood.

Raise your hands if you felt the same.

Anyway, Tom and Jerry are inarguably one of the most celebrated cartoons of all time.
But, that doesn't mean it's perfect for young viewers. In most episodes, we can see Tom and Jerry casually smoke some form of tobacco. In the mousetrap episode, for example, Tom gives Jerry a cigarette before his supposed death, and Tom daydreams about smoking a Cuban cigar once Jerry is dead.

Also, the main action in these episodes was based on violence. Lots of parents had complained about the fact that they watched the cartoon with their child and all they saw was fighting, punching, and beating.

Well, to be honest, I never saw this cartoon as something that could make me violent and I am pretty sure that I am going to let my kids watch it.
What do you think about this?
Anyways, Tom and Jerry hold a big portion of my childhood TV history and I might probably not forget it.
Tom and Jerry is something that made my childhood worth it.
Agree??
