This cartoon was a Saturday Morning program for the majority of the 90’s kids. This little kid's life sometimes remembered us about our families or habits that we usually have. This cartoon probably had this impact on us because it was based on a real-life experience, the real-life of the main character Louie Anderson.

Life with Louie presents the life of a young boy of eight years old, with many brothers and sisters and two very different parents. His mom is very kind and simple, while his father is the kind of too-talkative person, who always remembers the times of his youth when he fought in World War II. Louie’s veteran father had a lot of anger issues. However, the cartoon portrayal of Louie's father was much softer than this real-life father who was way worst than his cartoon portrayal. His family is poor. Louie goes through unfortunate events and goes through what elementary school kids go through, bullying, crushes, playing sports, learning a new instrument, etc.

I think, Life with Louie was and it still is one of the most lovable cartoons of all time. It is so funny, realistic, mature, and perfect for all ages. Even my father enjoyed this cartoon and so do my mother did, who usually loathes cartoons (unless it's 'Tom and Jerry', 'Tinkerbell' and a few more).
I prepared for you my dear reader some things that I think my generation had learned from this cartoon series
Wisconsin is a cold place and gets lots of snow in
Americans eat pie and turkey during Thanksgiving
There is a vegetable called sweet potato, and it looks orange! We were very curious about the taste, and we thought Louie’s mother Ora added sugar to make sweet potatoes.
When you make jokes at a stand-up show, you can make people laugh without making fun of them.
In summer, Americans go to lakes for fishing.
For Christmas, Americans buy real pine trees to decorate!
Americans put peanut butter on their bread (we wondered the taste, again).
But, the best of all of this was the life lessons that this guy teaches us
Helping others gives a great sense of bonding and satisfaction.
Love your siblings; even if they sometimes get annoying, they are your friends.
Support your friends when they need you, they are important in your life.
